Job Summary:
We are seeking a Systems Administrator who will design, implement, maintain, monitor, and optimize the organization’s server and virtual infrastructure across on-premises and cloud environments. You will contribute to enterprise-scale projects and ensure the ongoing health, performance, and reliability of our Windows and Linux systems. This role is essential to supporting our operational excellence and digital transformation initiatives.
Main Responsibilities:
Administer, configure, and optimize Windows Server and Linux environments;
Manage Active Directory, including Group Policy Objects (GPO), DNS, and DHCP;
Maintain and monitor virtualization platforms, including Hyper-V and VMware ESXi;
Support cloud infrastructure operations across Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI);
Perform server patching, scheduled system updates, and software rollouts to maintain operational security and reliability;
Collaborate on projects that involve systems provisioning, infrastructure upgrades, and application deployments;
Monitor system health, performance, and availability;
Manage backup and recovery solutions, ensuring compliance with internal SLAs;
Document all system configurations, changes, and standard operating procedures;
Provide escalation support for complex issues and participate in the on-call rotation.
Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field;
5 to 7 years of hands-on experience as a Systems Administrator in a hybrid Windows/Linux environment;
Strong understanding of:
Windows Server, Linux (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS);
Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPO;
Hyper-V and VMware environments;
Public cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI);
System performance tuning and monitoring;
Backup/restore operations;
Experience with automation/scripting (PowerShell, Bash) is an asset;
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills;
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment;
Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
Availability for after-hours support when required.
