Job Summary:
Reporting to the Director, Global Logistics, the Logistics Supply Chain Analyst, will be providing visibility to the business on different aspects of global logistics & supply chain at GDI. Reporting & KPI analytics skills will be required, as we want to socialize comprehensive dashboards on the health of our department in relation to the standards owed to the business. Part of the mandates is to work on internal process re-structuring and building the tools we need in conjunction with GDI’s Business Intelligence Unit. Covers inbound & outbound transport, as well as Customs Compliance metrics.
Main Responsibilities:
- Manage key performance data including transit times, freight rates, disposals while developing a continuous improvement mindset in the team to develop processes that improve performance;
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of key business concepts (supply and demand, cost optimization, seasonality, speed conversion etc.) in regard to the retail and transportation industry and its implications on Groupe Dynamite;
- Collaborate with internal departments at Groupe Dynamite, such as Distribution Centre, Allocation, Operations, IT in order to respond to dynamic logistics requirements and constraints;
- Evaluate strategic service providers to reduce the total cost of owning materials, finished goods and services;
- Listen to market signals and socialize potential impact to the department’s P&L.;
- Ensure consistent forecasts and optimal resource allocation;
- Help generate ideas and challenge the status quo; develop a supply chain-wide strategy that supports multiple levels of decision-making and gives a clear view of the flow of products, and information;
- Ability to synthesize a large flow of data and communicate its meaningful insight;
- Create dashboards with BI & socialize with the business;
- Manage KPIs to measure, control and benchmark transportation and procurement processes including creation of recurring reports to drive improvements for the supply chain.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Work with the technology group during systems migration & upgrades;
- Participate in the selection of new software providers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, and International Business;
- 4+ years of experience in supply chain operations;
- Procurement experience preferred;
- Logistics and transportation experience;
- Fashion Retail Supply chain internship or work experience;
- Bilingualism (French and English) is required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders, both within and outside of Quebec;
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Power BI;
- Sigma is also a valuable asset;Ability to work independently, make decisions and solve problems;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
