Summary:
As a Graphic Designer, Prints/Textiles, you are responsible for creating prints, maintaining aesthetic consistency and color accuracy for all of the brand's products. You build brand integrity on a seasonal basis, maximize consumer trust and reduce quality costs. The designer in this role must be driven by process and structure, seeking inspiration and will be a key person in aligning the workflow with the overall color and pattern intention.
Main Responsibilities:
- Carry out research, identify and present the main printed ideas in accordance with the concept for each of the “lifestyles”;
- From an image or sketch, create print mockups, options and artistic montages for each “lifestyle” collection following the color range;
- Present the latest printed patterns and color options to contribute to different fashion capsules and emerging trends;
- Create a range of original graphics to enrich the collections; slogan, illustrations, digital printing of images;
- Meet original print studios and attend the launch of their new collections to stay informed about emerging trends;
- Manage the different production schedules for each fabric, timelines and turnaround times for print prototypes
- Write all technical files precisely; develop and gather information both for the design team and for delivery to suppliers
- Ensure sustained follow-up with various collaborators within the team as well as with external manufacturers;
- Maintain the brand image in line with the seasonal concepts developed by management and thus maximize consumer confidence;
- Focus on improving internal processes in research and creation, integrate new working techniques by actively participating in them
Qualifications:
- University degree in Textile Design, Graphic Design, Fashion Design or similar
- Experience as a Graphic Designer with a textile/fashion specialization
- Mastery of Adobe Creative Suite design software; Illustrator and Photoshop
- Excellent knowledge of color theory, textile construction and specific properties of textile materials
- Attention to detail and ability to create complex original prints
- Great sense of aesthetics, interest and knowledge of the major fashion trends of the moment
- Ability to work in a team, under short deadlines and manage several projects simultaneously
- Clear, proactive and collaborative communication with all partners
- Knowledge of different textile printing processes
- Passion for illustration and various art media
- Creativity, curiosity and artistic sensitivity
