In this role you will build upon the successful Social foundation that currently exists for GARAGE Clothing. As the brand continues on its rapid growth trajectory, you will be responsible for ensuring that the overall owned Social growth is consistent with the business growth. The Social Marketing Manager reports into the Director of Marketing, and manages the Garage Social team. This individual will have proven experience driving Social excellence for a brand, and a consistent track record of innovating within the quick-changing Social landscape. The Social Marketing Manager will work closely with Creative and Paid Media to ensure content is optimized and elevated, and that Garage is both reacting to, and igniting trends. This position manages all Social content capture, and partners closely with the Creative team to integrate Social needs into campaign content capture. The Social Marketing Manager ensures relentlessly brand-aligned collateral across all Social channels and is obsessed with understanding our target customer. Success in this position is measured through a variety of metrics including but not limited to: team leadership, social followers, social entertainment, social traffic, social views, social engagement, brand awareness, brand consideration, and social content.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop innovative annual social strategies and content plans for all platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube, Threads and Facebook) to drive traffic to the website, increase engagement, and build brand awareness;
- Manage all social owned video and photo content creation for social media including performing photography, videography and video editing. Oversee the planning of all social dedicated photoshoots including art direction and execution.
- Provide clear social briefs for campaign photoshoots and participate in campaign photoshoots when necessary;
- Oversee development and planning of all brand-owned social media channels. Create and oversee all content briefs for cross-functional departments. Plan daily and seasonal calendars that align with 360 marketing initiatives. Oversee all social media content and present to cross-functional partners for approval;
- Prepare and oversee weekly, monthly and yearly social media reporting and performance monitoring. Leverage native social media insights and Google Analytics to report on all social media metrics. Analyze results to optimize strategies with key learnings. Contribute to monthly and quarterly post-mortem reporting;
- Work with cross-functional teams (E-commerce, Merchandise, Styling, PR, Creative, Paid Media) to ensure brand alignment; plan upcoming business needs and share information with the rest of the Social Media team;
- Oversee social media communities and work with the Social team to expand on our community management strategies. Communicate any community feedback and key learnings with cross-functional teams;
- Stay on the pulse of emerging social media trends, platform updates, content creators, industry trends and pop culture trends that are relevant for the brand’s customers;
- Manage the social media team (Jr. Social Media Specialist, Social Media Coordinator, Social Intern, and contractors);
- Oversee the social media budget and develop relationships with external partners while exploring business opportunities;
- Research, analyze and obsess over the target customer resulting in timely and innovative on-brand social marketing strategies
To qualify for this role, you must have
- University degree in Marketing or related field;
- 7+ years of related work experience;
- Social reporting experience;
- 2+ years of experience managing a team;
- An obsession with Social trends;
- A deep understanding of the fashion landscape;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills both in French and English;
- Exceptional written communication skills;
- Excellent organizational and project management skills;
- Ability to prioritize, adapt and meet fast turnaround deadlines;
- Proven collaborative team player;
- Detail-oriented and analytical.
