Job Summary:
Reporting to the Studio Manager, the Retoucher is responsible for the overall retouching process and uploading of assets for all product shoots.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily retouching of priorities, including monitoring all projects and coordinating retouching to meet deadlines;
- Responsible for monitoring E-comm and Visual Sample List/Missing List to ensure samples are prioritized and uploaded on time;
- Responsible for retouching and colour correcting seasonal campaigns, product, social and editorial photography, on a daily basis, ensuring consistency between files;
- Responsible for loading all shoots and retouched files onto the server and communicating with the Creative team when images are ready to be used;
- Responsible for the cropping and uploading of E-commerce catalogue photography and alternate views in alignment with overall brand direction;
- Stay up-to-date on industry tools, techniques, and best practices in retouching;
- Liaises cross-functionally and with adjacent departments to ensure all parties are aligned;
- Support the Content Production Director and Studio Manager in all assigned tasks.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in retouching;
- College degree (DEC, technical diploma, community college diploma) in graphic design and/or photography or related field;
- Very strong Photoshop experience;
- Knowledge of the Adobe Suite;
- Knowledge of Capture One (preferably) or Adobe Lightroom;
- Knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
- Bilingual, French and English, both spoken and written;
- Ability to communicate and build strong interpersonal relations;
- Great organizational and prioritizing skills;
- Excellent analysis capabilities;
- Teamwork skills;
- Autonomy and initiative;
- Knowledge of Bynder and Creative Force (asset).
