Job Summary: 

The Sourcing team is looking for a Sourcing Specialist that will help with the applicable aspects of the production process. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer, to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing the business unit sourcing strategy along with VP support, and to adhere to it once established
  • Determine monthly capacity plans for the suppliers and respect them within reasonable variance
  • Monitor to ensures accurate timelines are created and adhered to by assigned suppliers (Time & Action)
  • Ensures suppliers meet all requirements on quality and compliance standards
  • Ensures suppliers’ capability to produce merchandise for required delivery date
  • Analyzes cost breakdowns from suppliers and negotiates final price
  • Collaborates with cross-functional departments
  • Sources new fabrics and negotiates fabric costs
  • Reviews all tech packages and ensures accuracy of details
  • Communicates daily with suppliers overseas
  • Provides guidance to Import Coordinator

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design or a related field and/or DEC in Fashion Marketing or Fashion Design;
  • 7-10 years related, import and/or production experience (apparel industry);
  • Extensive understanding of production cycle, of fabric and impact on design;
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Bilingual, excellent written English.
