Job Summary:

The sourcing team is looking for an intern to join the Fit Team at our Head Office for a paid, full-time, 12-week summer internship. 

As a GDI intern, you will be a contributing member of our team and will have the opportunity to fully participate in our business. Join us for an immersive summer of hands-on experience at a leading fashion retailer.

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the Fit and Spec team;
• Certify that all garments have the proper fit, look, style and quality;
• Maintain high quality standards in accordance with company standards;
• Measure fit and production samples against size specifications to ensure that the desired fit is consistently achieved.
• Attend fit sessions to observe and experience a live fitting.

Qualifications:

• Educational background in fashion design;
• Knowledge of garment manufacturing;
• Bilingual (French/English) with strong communication skills, both oral and written;
• Knowledge of Illustrator, MS Office Suite and Bamboo Rose (software);
• Thoroughness, attention to detail.
