Job Summary:

The Procurement team is looking for a Category Manager to be responsible for driving productivity, performance, and profitability throughout the organization by aligning people, processes, and systems to a common set of goals and objectives. You will be involved in our ongoing transformation from a traditional brick & mortar retailer to an omni-channel leader and tech-first fashion disruptor. 


Main Responsibilities:

  • Take charge of the renewal and acquisition process for different categories, such as Marketing, Finance, Leasing, Procurement, and travel; 

  • Contribute to change management efforts to support the adoption of a standard set of tools, procurement templates, legal documents, and supplier selection (including RFPs);

  • Manage or impact, directly and indirectly, budgets totaling $100M;

  • Lead contract negotiation for the entire organization and work closely with the Legal Department;

  • Collaborate to ensure that the established budget is respected.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Business or Law;

  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role;

  • Retail industry general awareness is an asset;

  • Strong coaching, delegation, communication, and presentation abilities;

  • Bilingual (French and English);

  • Have strong business acumen;

  • Thrive in the face of change with a strong sense of urgency;

  • Challenge the status quo by contributing impactful ideas and solutions;

  • Experience in legal contract review;

  • Build partnerships and prioritize collaboration with stakeholders, colleagues, and suppliers;

  • Present information in an effective and concise manner;   

  • Be proactive and exceed expected results.
