Job Summary:

 

Reporting to an Assistant Manager, the Department Head, Evening Shift, is responsible for, among other duties, coordinating a team of 15 to 25 employees executing one or many of the following tasks: receiving, putaway, replenishment, picking or shipping.


In addition, the Department Head, Evening Shift must be knowledgeable in all other areas of the Distribution Centre (pick/pack, e-commerce, cycle counting) so that they can perform these activities when business demands dictate.


Employees in this job may be called upon to perform other jobs in the Distribution Centre and must be available to work a 40-hour work week from Sunday through Thursday, from 3:45 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Overtime as required for business needs.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma and/or professional training

 

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a distribution centre, particularly in an e-commerce environment;
  • Experience with RF scans system, computer literate and abilities to work with various processing systems;
  • Pallet truck, Order Picker and Forklift Operator certification is preferred;
  • Management expérience

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Must possess basic speaking and reading skills in French and English;
  • Ability to do physical type of work- constantly standing up, walk and occasionally handles weights up to 20 kg;
  • Must be available to work overtime as required for business needs.

  • Must be able to manage and coordinate a team of unit handlers
