Job Summary:

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Product Owner to join our dynamic E-commerce team and lead the strategic evolution of our mobile applications. You'll play a crucial role in guiding the comprehensive redesign of our core mobile apps for our two leading brands, Garage and Dynamite (for both the Canada and US markets). With a customer-first mindset and a balance of strategic thinking and Agile adaptability, you'll bring our omni-channel personalization and loyalty program initiatives to life, creating exceptional experiences that drive engagement, conversion, and customer lifetime value.

Reporting directly to the Director of E-commerce, you'll translate the business vision and objectives into a robust product roadmap, manage the entire product lifecycle, and collaborate closely with dedicated Scrum teams, cross-functional departments, and business stakeholders. You’ll be empowered to innovate, optimize, and deliver measurable value through a blend of discovery, strategic prioritization, and effective project management skills.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with IT, E-commerce, CRM, analytics, and marketing stakeholders as well as other cross-functional POs to translate the business vision into clear Epics and actionable roadmaps that drive value;
  • Clearly articulate internal and external user challenges and define solution objectives to inform product development and user experience decisions;
  • Own the end-to-end management of your product, including maintaining robust backlog and prioritizing features, enhancements, and bugs focused on omni-channel sales, user engagement, conversion, performance optimization, and customer retention;
  • Define clear goals and KPIs in collaboration with business owners, continuously monitor performance, and provide regular insights and recommendations for improvement;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the Product, Technology, Creative, and Marketing teams, and foster a deep understanding of user and business needs through active engagement and stakeholder interviews;
  • Lead feature development from concept to launch, actively maintaining and executing a robust A/B testing backlog and optimization plan to ensure constant improvement and risk mitigation;
  • Champion customer understanding, initiating new and leveraging existing user testing and research insights to create habit-forming, personalized, and elevated app experiences tailored to each brand’s unique identity;
  • Keep abreast of industry trends, market shifts, technological advancements, and the competitive landscape to continuously refine and evolve strategic product plans, positioning our brands as market leaders;
  • Maintain a strong sense of urgency around addressing and resolving critical bugs and issues to ensure a seamless user experience;
  • Identify opportunities to streamline processes and proactively introduce new and impactful ways of working to enhance team productivity and collaboration;
  • Advocate and drive adherence to the best practices in accessibility, security, and compliance standards throughout product development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field;
  • 2+ years of experience in digital application development, including at least 1 year specifically focused on mobile app development (iOS and/or Android);
  • 3+ years of proven experience in product management within a fast-paced, consumer-driven environment;
  • Solid understanding of system development projects, with a demonstrated ability to manage complex technical products;
  • Experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud;
  • Demonstrated proficiency in A/B testing methodologies, customer and market research, and data collection/data-driven decision-making;
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills;
  • Proficiency in Agile methodologies, the Scrum framework, and product lifecycle management;
  • Technical acumen, including familiarity with APIs, software architecture, development processes, and basic coding concepts;
  • Knowledge and experience with content management systems and mobile application release processes and impacts.

Assets:

  • Ownership: You take initiative and confidently make informed decisions;
  • Data-driven: You leverage analytics to guide decisions, but also critically evaluate data quality and implications;
  • Passionate: You thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment and actively drive innovation and cross-collaboration;
  • Growth mindset: You seek and apply constructive feedback, knowing that great outcomes require collaboration;
  • Curious: You're always eager to learn and explore new ideas, technologies, and trends;
  • Empathetic: You deeply understand user needs and champion solutions that genuinely make a difference.
  • If you’re ready to shape exceptional mobile experiences, influence the strategic direction of our brands, and collaborate with an enthusiastic team dedicated to putting the customer first, we’d love to hear from you.

At GDI, you will be part of a growing organization that understands the importance of investing in people and offers you:

  • A comprehensive compensation package that includes performance-driven bonuses;
  • A group retirement savings program with employer matching;
  • Flexible group insurance with personalized coverage that meets your needs;
