Job Summary:

The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of inventory management, including inventory accuracy and reconciliation. This role involves developing and implementing inventory control policies and procedures. The Inventory Control Manager will work closely with various departments, including warehousing and store operations, to maintain accurate inventory records and drive continuous improvement initiatives.


Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures and drive improvements to existing processes;
  • Oversee regular inventory counts and reconciliations to maintain accuracy;
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement;
  • Reconcile inventory gaps between the different systems and make the necessary corrections;
  • Review the month-end process with the inventory team to ensure the accuracy of the financial data and ensure the timely closure of the inventory system;
  • Review and analyze inventory reports to provide insights and recommendations to management;
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory management and report on performance;
  • Conduct root cause analysis for inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions;
  • Lead and mentor a team of inventory control analysts;
  • Foster a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams to address inventory-related issues and operations;
  • Provide training and support to team members on inventory control best practices;
  • Participate in special projects, year end audit and other administrative tasks, as required;


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in inventory control;
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management principles, practices, and techniques;
  • Proficiency in inventory management software (Oracle an asset);
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel;
  • Bilingual (French and English).
